The franchise patriarch was 89. Team officials were preparing a release on the matter, but all that is known at the moment is that the franchise patriarch passed away suddenly, according to his daughter. Auerbach had battled healthy probloems regularly the past few years, but had always managed to bring himself back from the brink of the most severe trouble.
