The collective bargaining agreement allows for a $2,500 fine for each of the first two missed practices and a $5,000 hit for each thereafter. But all three sides saw it as an isolated issue. ``They were fined for missing practice, what the typical fine would be for that,'' Celtics coach John Carroll said. ``I just told them that's just the way it goes. They have a job to do. They didn't do the job (Monday) and they got fined for it. But it's the NBA. Move on. Here we go. You know?'' Asked if their playing time would be affected, Carroll said, ``Not at all. And I told them that. That's college. That's not this. That's why you have fines. So you don't have to do (things) like that.
