Without naming names — that would be a violation of the rules — he was referring to separate deals that would have brought Kris Humphries and Andrew Bynum, respectively, to Cleveland. Howard was headed to Brooklyn in the first deal and the Lakers in the second. Orlando Magic: They acquire Nuggets shooting guard Arron Afflalo, Nuggets power forward Al Harrington, Sixers center Nikola Vucevic, Sixers forward Moe Harkless, Lakers guard Christian Eyenga, Lakers power forward Josh McRoberts and conditional future first-round picks from Denver, Philadelphia and the Lakers. They also get second-round picks from the Lakers (2015) and Denver (2014). And, no, Eyenga wasn’t the centerpiece of the trade. A couple things come to the forefront. Neither Howard nor Bynum committed to signing an extension with their new teams. Both the Lakers and 76ers, respectively, are hoping the players will fall in love with their new surroundings and want to stay. They made the playoffs last season and should be one of the top three or four teams in the East.
