路加福音20:27-40 否认复活的撒杜塞人中，有几个前来问耶稣说： 「师傅，梅瑟给我们写道：如果一个人的哥哥死了，撇下妻子而没有子嗣， 他的弟弟就应娶他的妻子，给他哥哥立嗣。 　曾有兄弟七人，第一个娶了妻子，没有子嗣就死了。 　第二个，及第三个都娶过她为妻子。七个人都是如此：没有留下子嗣就死了。 　末後，连那妇人也死了。 　那麽，在复活的时候，这妇人是他们那一个的妻子？ 　因为他们七个人都娶过她为妻。」 耶稣对他们说： 「今世之子也娶也嫁； 　但那堪得来世，及堪当由死者中复活的人，他们也不娶，也不嫁； 　甚至他们也不能再死，因为他们相似天使； 　他们既是复活之子，也就是天主之子。 　至论死者复活，梅瑟已在荆棘篇中指明了： 　他称上主为亚巴郎的天主，依撒格的天主及雅各伯的天主。他不是死人的， 　而是活人的天主：所有的人为他都是生活的。」 有几个经师应声说：「师傅，你说的好。」 从此，他们再不敢质问他什麽了。 27 Some Sadducees -- those who argue that there is no resurrection -- approached him and they put this question to him, 28 'Master, Moses prescribed for us, if a man's married brother dies childless, the man must marry the widow to raise up children for his brother. 29 Well then, there were seven brothers; the first, having married a wife, died childless. 30 The second 31 and then the third married the widow. And the same with all seven, they died leaving no children. 32 Finally the woman herself died. 33 Now, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be, since she had been married to all seven?' 34 Jesus replied, 'The children of this world take wives and husbands, 35 but those who are judged worthy of a place in the other world and in the resurrection from the dead do not marry 　 36 because they can no longer die, for they are the same as the angels, and being children of the resurrection they are children of God. 37 And Moses himself implies that the dead rise again, in the passage about the bush where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. 　 38 Now he is God, not of the dead, but of the living; for to him everyone is alive.' 39 Some scribes then spoke up.
