Encarnacion on fire: After a brutal opening month where he hit just .222, Juan Encarnacion has found his stroke in recent weeks. On Saturday night, he enjoyed his first two-homer performance since Sept. 29, 2002. The performance, coupled with an eighth-inning double, also extended Encarnacion's hitting streak to nine games. During the streak, he is batting .459 (17-for-37). The right fielder is batting .400 (24-for-60) in June with three homers and 13 RBIs. A lifetime .268 hitter entering the season, Encarnacion was batting .280 entering Sunday's action. "He is just more relaxed," La Russa said.
