The father of Villarreal and Italy striker Giuseppe Rossi has died in New
Jersey following a long battle with illness, said the club on Tuesday.
Villarreal announced the news on their official website.
Giuseppe Rossi的父亲在长期与病魔奋斗後於纽泽西病逝。
Rossi has been in New Jersey with his father since being given permission to
leave Spain earlier this month. He has missed four games.
在本月初获得许可後，Rossi便立即飞返美国陪伴父亲。他已经因此缺阵了四场比赛。
The report claims Rossi has been in touch with the Spanish side over the past
week and he told them of his plans to return to action soon. He is likely to
return for the weekend clash against Deportivo La Coruna.
有报导指出Rossi将会尽快回到西班牙，可能参加本周末与Deportivo La Coruna的比赛。
The Italian international has been playing for the club since joining them
from Manchester United in 2007.
