The 36-year-old's previous agreement was set to expire at the end of this month, but he was keen to remain at the Stadio Franchi. Chiesa has netted himself a deal until June 2008 after accepting President Paolo De Luca's request of a cut in wages. The former Italian international forward scored 11 goals in Serie A during the 2005-06 campaign for the Tuscan minnows, taking his tally to 138 Serie A goals in 355 games. Chiesa arrived at Siena in the summer of 2003 after a difficult time in the Italian capital with Lazio.
