对今年的洋基来说, 打败分区垫底的魔鬼鱼一直都并非难事. 今天小王的精采表现 (再加
上对方投手丢出一拖拉库保送) 更是让这件事变得和吃饭一样简单. 这是洋基今年第七度
打败魔鬼鱼 (比数6-0), 并且将他们的连胜场数推进至四场.
: Wang took a perfect game into the fifth inning and allowed just two hits in a
: shutout performance. The Devil Rays got only one runner past first base.
: Holding the Devil Rays down is nothing new for Wang. He held them to one run
: in 8 1/3 innings on July 8 and was 1-0 with a 1.76 ERA in two previous starts

小王直到第五局之前还是完全比赛的状态, 直到一支安打使他破功. 不过终场他也只让魔
鬼鱼们击出两支零星一垒安打而已, 拿下漂亮的完封胜. 魔鬼鱼全场甚至只有一度攻占超
过一垒垒包. 其实把小鱼吃的死死, 对小王来说并不是新鲜事. 就在前阵子7月8日的
那场比赛, 小王也对魔鬼鱼投出了一场8 1/3局掉一分的绝佳好球. 他今年面对魔鬼鱼两
场比赛(不包括这场), 拿下1胜0败, 防御率更是低到只有1.76

小王是被五局上半首位打者Ty Wigginton敲出安打而破功的, 先前的四局下半, 因为洋基
打了颇长的时间, 所以也使得他在板凳上坐得久了点. 然而, 一旦小王在投手丘上表现稳
定, 我们就知道这场比赛的胜负已经没有什麽悬念了.

这场比赛洋基有两个半局攻占满垒, 也都顺利取得分数. 第一次满垒出现在二局下半, 当
一个要命失误使得原本会被双杀的局面变成一二垒有人, 随後便延长了洋基的攻势, 他们
在这局拿下两分. 第二次满垒则是出现在四局下半, 在Jeter挥出二垒安打後, 魔鬼鱼投
手群开始坏球连发, 在接下来的五个人次中保送四人, 洋基也因而挤回两分.

魔鬼鱼先发投手Tim Corcoran只投了3又1/3局, 就丢出六次保送. 相较於此, 小王用了
104球完封, 其中只丢出一次保送而已. (译注: 我怎麽记得是两次?)
: Alex Rodriguez started the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and
: Bernie Williams smacked his eighth homer of the season in the sixth to round
: up the rest of the Yankees' scoring.
A-Rod在一局下半的安打帮助洋基先驰得点. 另外, 老伯尼则是在六局下半尻出他本季第
八发全垒打, 为洋基得到锦上添花的第六分.
