第四题
Penicillamine, a sulpha-amino acid derived
from penicillin was pioneered by Walshe and
introduced by him for the treatment of hepatolenticular
degeneration. Its chelating (螫合) effect is due
to the provision of a sulphydryl group which
combines with lead (and copper) to form ring
compounds which are excreted.
