To make room for McDonald and Wade on the roster, Albuquerque sent
right-hander Bobby Blevins to Double-A Chattanooga while placing shortstop
Chin-Lung Hu on the disabled list with an injured thumb. Wallach said Hu will
have surgery and miss six-to-eight weeks. The Isotopes will likely have to
add another position player soon as they currently have 14 pitchers and 10
fielders.
