2008年版CFA协会Level 1教材，Reading 70衍生性金融商品，第30页第14题2005年的考古 题。很多考生都无法立即作答，甚至看了官方版本的解答A-3第14题，仍不知所以然。因 此，我特别将解题技巧与大家分享。 这一题的原文： 14. Assume the probability of bankruptcy for the underlying asset is high. Compared to the price of an American put option on the same underlying asset, the price of an equivalent European put option will most likely be: 这一题的原文解答： 14. A is correct. In bankruptcy, the price of the bankrupt company’s stock falls. In the limit it falls to zero. At a price of zero, the price cannot go any lower, and it would be advantageous to exercise the American put at that point in time rather than be forced to wait until the expiration date. Therefore, the American-style put is likely to have a higher price than an equivalent European-style put. A. lower. B. higher. C. the same because the probability of bankruptcy does not affect pricing. D. the same because the possibility of early exercise only affects the pricing of call options. 题目问的是： 若对应资产的破产机率高，一个欧式卖权的价格，比起有相同对应资产的相当美式卖权的 价格，最可能： A. 较低。 B. 较高。 C. 因为破产机率不影响价格，故相同。 D. 因为提前执行的可能性只影响买权价格，故相同。 官方版本的解答： A. 为正确。破产公司的股价在破产时下跌，最多跌到0。股价到了0，不可能再往下跌。 因此，美式卖权在那个时间点执行时，有利，而不须被破等到到期日。因此，美式卖权比 一个相当的欧式卖权可能有较高的价格。 本题的解答重点： 股价跌停时，美式卖权可提前执行。因此，马上可获利，而欧式卖权无法在股价跌停时， 提前执行，而必须等到到期日才能执行。因此，持有美式卖权者，可提前拿到钱，而享有 货币时间价值。因此，美式卖权较值钱。但是，因为题目的问法是欧式卖权比起美式卖权 为何，故应选答较低的A项。 考生答题时须注意两个地方： 一、专业上的解答重点 （一）对应资产破产时，股价最低为0时，卖权价值最高。 （二）美式卖权可提前执行，故可在卖权价值最高时，提前执行，享有货币时间价值，而 比欧式卖权的价值还高。 （三）欧式卖权无法提前执行，须等到到期日才能执行，故未能享有货币时间价值，而比 美式卖权的价值还低。 二、英文的解答技巧： 原文的措词： Compared to the price of an American put option on the same underlying asset, the price of an equivalent European put option will most likely be: 中文意思为： 欧式卖权的价格比起美式卖权的价格最可能是： 因问的是欧式卖权比美式卖权来的… 答案，当然是A的较低了！ 因此，考生要注意英文的比较句。很多考生所以选B是因为在时间的压力下，把问题误以 为问的是美式卖权，而非欧式卖权，因而答错。 CFA Level 1考试，上午120题考题，须在180分钟答完，每题仅有一分半时间作答。我的 建议是，尽管答题要快速，但还是须先将题目原意搞清楚後再作答，否则失分太可惜。 -- CFA证照考试心得分享:http://www.wretch.cc/blog/vactorlee --
