根据本地的元件供应商消息，Benq最近接获pioneer的16x DVD-ROM的OEM订单，
会从这个月以後开始出货。
但是，基於客户机密，Benq婉拒对这件事做出评论。
原先Benq是帮pioneer做DVD-ROM以及DVD-RW烧录机的OEM/ODM，但是在2003年跟菲利普结
盟为菲利普-笨Q数位储存(PBDS)之後就停止了。
自此以後，pioneer将OEM/ODM代工的事情转给了Asustek。
Pioneer原本要求Asustek使用pioneer的读取头(PUHs)，这是一个主要的DVD装置。
然而因为量小，所以使用这种读取头为pioneer代工的成本很高。
为了达到做这个16x DVD-ROM新机种的最小成本，pioneer利用Benq帮Philip代工之便，
将OEM订单下给Benq。
Pioneer是全球第二大DVD-ROM厂商，仅次於Hitachi-LG 资料储存(HLDS)。
