The word in Phoenix, Arizona, and on the NBA Street is that behind the scenes,
the Bucks are not too happy with Bogut (especially after last year's performan
ce). They have packaged Yi and Bogut (and a possible future pick) and have sta
rted to shop them around the league. The Bucks GM has secretly met with the La
kers, the Knicks and the Bobcats to discuss possible options. The GM even went
as far as trying to swing that combo on Minnesota, but it fell on deaf ears
because they wanted nothing to do with Yi. Also, the LA Clippers are possible
suitors to a Milwaukee deal, but they are trying to work other avenues with
several Eastern Conference clubs at this time.
The recent contact between the Bucks and Yi in Las Vegas is basically a smoke
screen. The Bucks GM is working hard to sign Williams, and to trade Bogut and
Yi as soon as possible.
