Yesterday (July 4), Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to inform her followers that
her cousin, Nicholas Telemaque, was murdered near his home in Brooklyn, New
York.
"*My cousin Nicholas. Also goes by Juse, or @brolicalcoholic* Murdered. Last
nite [sic]. Near his home. Brooklyn, NY.

Nicki Minaj tweeted.
Police found Telemaque, 27, with "multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso
region," according to MTV.com. Telemaque was taken to King County Hospital in
Brooklyn, NY and was pronounced dead upon arrival. There have yet to be
arrests in relation to Telemaque's murder and an investigation is "ongoing."
Shortly after Minaj tweeted the devastating news, fans and artists reached
out with condolences. "@NICKIMINAJ sending love & prayers to you and your
family <3 [sic]" Jordin Sparks tweeted.
Representatives for Nicki Minaj have yet to respond to request for a comment.
