The Brewers' one-year deal with Counsell is worth $1.4MM and is expected be
announced Tuesday, tweets Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Counsell, 40, hit .250/.322/.319 in 230 plate appearances this year while
appearing at shortstop, third base, and second base. This will mark Counsell's
fifth season with Milwaukee. He's represented by Barry Meister.
