天使球迷 Chone Smith 在他的Blog "Anaheim Angels all the way"上比较了
他自己以及其他五个主要预测系统2006年预测的准确度。在打者方面，他计算
超过500打数的打者实际OPS与预测OPS的相关系数，在投手方面则是计算投球局
数超过100局的投手实际ERA与预测ERA的相关系数。结果如下：
打者：
PECOTA .736
Shandler .702
James .685
ZIPs .684
Chone .677
Marcel .664
投手：
.459 ZIPs
.451 PECOTA
.445 Baseball Info Solutions (Bill James has nothing to do with this although
its in his Handbook, he claims it can't be done)
.442 Marcel
.424 Chone
.423 Shandler
两者相加：1.PECOTA，2.ZIPS，3.James，4.Shander，5.Marcel，6.Chone
