After being unable to find a top-class opponent to play in this international week, the Selecao instead went to the Catalan capital for a week's training. Menezes however insisted that the week was a positive experience, and that his players took it seriously. "We are emphasising for our players the importance of every session in the current renovation of the team. They know that the opportunities, in a team as competitive as the Brazilian one, have to be taken advantage of. Be it in a training, a game... It is vital to establish parameters and they understood this well," Menezes told press in a conference held after yesterday's training game. And the tecnico added that such training camps and friendlies are going to be of crucial importance in the coming years, as the Copa America next year will be the only competitive football they play until hosting the World Cup in 2014. "We have to value every single session, every friendly, because we will have less official games. Because of that there still exists the possibility that we will play twice in October.
