By Daniel Edwards Aug 17, 2010 3:07:00 PM Current Brazil coach Mano Menezes and three-times World Cup winner Mario Zagallo are the latest football figures to comment on Santos prodigies Neymar and Ganso, and the two were unanimous in their verdict that a move to Europe would be the wrong choice at this time. Neymar has been widely linked with a big money move to Chelsea, while Ganso is rumoured to be in the sights of European heavyweights Real Madrid and Milan. But, speaking at a press conference promoting the Selecao shirt, legendary football figure Zagallo insisted the pair are currently too young to be considering a move abroad. "I believe it is far too early for a player of 17, 18, 19 years old to leave Brazil. The base must be formed here. Of course, financially the players always want to leave, but in Neymar's case he would be going to an environment that is not right for his body type. He needs to bulk up more, so better to let him leave when he is 21 or 22," Zagallo argued yesterday evening, speaking alongside current coach Menezes, Brazil legends Bebeto and Cafu, and Neymar himself. New Canarinha coach Menezes gave the pair full debuts for Brazil last week against the United States; and Mano echoed Zagallo's sentiments when he revealed that he wanted his youngsters to continue developing in Brazil. "I might be the person who most wants them to stay in Brazil. In these cases I have a very similar opinion to Zagallo's. We still haven't found the formula for making our players stay longer here. But it is clear that I have to respect Neymar's interests. Thinking of Brazilian football however, their staying would be beneficial," the ex-Corinthians coach asserted. After listening to his more experienced colleagues, Neymar stayed ambiguous, revealing that he would only move abroad for regular first team football such as that he enjoys at Santos. "I don't know if I'll stay or go. There are many things that still need to happen. But leaving the country to end up in the reserves doesn't interest me, it would be better to stay here.
