※ 引述《RYUICHI (需要更多时间)》之铭言： : 再举一例，君不见Tom Ford叔在把GUCCI捧到最高峰时， : 却面对着不动如山的YSL─面面相觑。 对此我要帮tom ford说个话 在wwd与tom ford以及ＰＰＲ当时的总裁serge weinberg 的几场专访报导了解到　在tom ford正式接手YSL後 理解了 YSL所面对的 是完全不同於GUCCI的财务状况，所以他认为这会是一个长远的投资 过度授权(当年他接手时授权多达163 licenses) ， 光是买回来就花了一大笔钱 (2004年中他要离职时买回品牌到只剩3个licenses) 再加上 YSL 这个名字 跟GUCCI不同 tom ford 跟 Domenico 是要把眼光放远 要将它像DIOR 和CHANEL一样来经营。 因此他先在品牌还未收益前 就花了大钱来投资 陆续开设的旗舰店， 花大钱办的秀等 都是为了先打出品牌形象 而事实上在他任职期间 YSL 业绩也一直再上升 只是因为他投太多钱 才会无法 broken even 再加上 911 SARS 美国在伊拉克的战争等许多因素 让YSL 进展的比他估计的还慢 以及 YSL在他任职时法国 受到的支持 远远不及GUCCI在米兰受到的待遇相提并论 到了2005年 ppr集团不用再花钱去买回品牌专有权 也不需再去每个地方地寻找好地点开设店面 STEFANO 接手後 路都铺好了 他可以尽展才华 加上２００５开始到现今不单是ＹＳＬ　其他各大精品业者业绩攀升数度惊人 看看2006 富比士排行Bernard Arnault从原本的10名外 一跳就跳到第七 落不是TF 早先与 Domenico的铺陈 我想YSL 今天也很难有今天 另外一件有趣的事 Serge Weinberg(PPR集团当时的负责人)在宣布 Alessandra Facchinetti, frIda Giannini and John Ray 分别负责 Gucci women’s, men’s and accessories, , Stefano Pilati 负责 YSL时 他就很不高兴的批评了 他认为 YSL 配置OK 但GUCCI!!3个人负责一个品牌!! " Everyone at Gucci and all of my team I think are incredibly talented. The three people that have been mentioned are people I have worked very closely with. John Ray I have worked with the longest, about seven or eight years. He’s a terrific guy and incredibly talented. But the strategy is one that I don’t agree with at all. The strategy of three different voices working at one brand, I don’t understand that. It’s really that there is a point of view. There is a vision today that is a summation of the last 10 years of my saying yes to this and no to that. There is a personality. There is a point of view and it is consistent. You can like it or not like it, but it is a point of view." 他也说到如果PPR 不想要把GUCCI搞烂 Serge Weinberg最好 好好想一想 然後PPR推出的 "nonstar system"的新经营策略 他认为也只是笑话 他要设计师不被注目 这是不可能的 在tom ford 接GUCCI 前他不也是个NOBODY 他说到 只要接手的这几位 表现出色 他们最後也会成为 SO CALLED 的 "STAR DESIGNER" 结果今天来看 他在2004年的预言都成真了 Serge Weinberg被撤换了 GUCCI由frIda Giannini担任创意总监 她也跟STEFANO PILATI 也一样备受瞩目 -- " we learn the rules in order to break them" http://photo.xuite.net/wade7310 --
