Almost Home: Taiwan takes viewers on a tour of Taiwan, as seen through the eyes of a handful of Taiwanese who have survived decades of social and political change. Weaving together the reunion of the filmmaker’s family after 22 years, archival footage, and on-the-street interviews in Taiwan and America, Almost Home: Taiwan shines a light on the history and culture of an island long at the center of political debate. Victoria will share clips from her work in progress, her filmmaking experience so far, and her future plans for the film. Baked goods from Flour Bakery will be served.
