快速翻:Jose Reyes可能会缺阵一个月,甚至三个月或更久,在周五晚上 因为扭伤左脚踝被带去医院做MRI检查。 观看影片:http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=26224357&c_id=mlb Reyes injury overshadows Jays' win over Royals By The Sports Xchange | The SportsXchange KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Toronto Blue Jays won, defeating the Kansas City Royals 8-4, but the Friday night victory could be extremely costly with an ankle injury to Jose Reyes that will sideline him at least a month and possibly three months or longer. Reyes, who is hitting .429 in a nine-game hitting streak, had to be carted off the field in the sixth inning with a sprained left ankle and was taken to a hospital for an MRI. "It's a nightmare," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. "He's a big part of this team." Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said Reyes would definitely go on the disabled list, but the club is still waiting the MRI result on how long he might be out. "If it's good news, you're looking at four weeks," Anthopoulos said. "The other scenario could be three months or if something comes up from the MRI we're not expecting, it could be more than that. I think that's going to be the range. That's the quick look from the Royals' doctors and trainers." While the Blue Jays are calling it a sprain, there are preliminary reports that Reyes fractured his ankle. "Dayton (Moore, Royals general manager) just told me, I think they said it was a fractured ankle," Royals manager Ned Yost said. "I don't know what happened. I'll have to see the replay, but he slid real late." Reyes greeted reliever Luke Hochevar with a two-run single and swiped second base, his major league-leading fifth stolen base, but he injured his leg while sliding and was in extreme pain. Reyes slid late into the bag and his left ankle rolled under him in the cumbersome slide. He rotated onto his back and was yelling in pain before pulling his uniform top over his face. He was lifted into a cart and taken out through the Blue Jays' bullpen in right field before going to the hospital. "I've been through so many injuries over the years," Anthopoulos said. "You don't want to see that, especially to a great player like that. But honestly, your reaction is you start thinking what are our options, who could we call up, who could we get here. "I'm already starting to look at players not in the organization. I've actually reached out to some GMs for a small trade, things like that. It's part of the game. You never want to see it, but at the same time, you've been through enough to know it's going to happen over the course of the season." Reyes, a four-time National League All-Star with the New York Mets, was acquired in a blockbuster trade in November with the Miami Marlins. He was hitting .395 and had reached base in all 10 games this season, failing to get a hit only in the season opener. "Jose is great," Anthopoulos said. "He's a big part of this team. I can't emphasize that enough. Every team goes through these things. I don't believe we're a team built on one player, no matter how great a player it is. Just continue to move forward. The biggest thing for us is we need to pitch and if we do I think everything else will work itself out. Reyes' injury dampened J.A. Happ picking up his second victory of the season. Happ, who threw 41 of his 110 pitches in the Royals' three-run first, lasted five innings, allowing four runs on five hits, while walking three and striking out four. Happ (2-0) is the only Blue Jays starter with a win this season. "It's going to be on me to prove I belong to stay out there," Happ said. "The fact I was able to get through hopefully helps." Aaron Loup worked three perfect innings to log his first big-league save. Luis Mendoza took the loss, charged with eight runs, seven earned, on seven hits and three walks in 5 2/3 innings. "He really struggled to get the feel of his breaking ball, struggled to keep it down in the zone," Yost said. "There were some times he was trying to bounce it and couldn't do it. It was just one of those nights. He wasn't near as sharp as he was in Philly." Emilio Bonifacio led the Blue Jays offense with two doubles and two RBIs. The Blue Jays scored five runs in the first three innings to seize an early lead. J.P. Arencibia singled home Melky Cabrera with the first run. Adam Lind's run-producing double to right made it 2-0, bringing home Edwin Encarnacion, who had walked. Lorenzo Cain contributed a two-run single, while Salvador Perez singled home Alex Gordon with the first run. The Jays regained the lead in the second with the help of the Royals. Colby Rasmus, who extended his hitting streak to seven games, and Bonifacio led off the inning with back-to-back doubles. Bonifacio took third on the throw home and scored on catcher Perez's throwing error. Mike Moustakas' throwing error in the third gifted the Blue Jays with another run. Encarnacion, who reached on the error, scored on Lind's sacrifice fly. After not committing an error in their first seven games, the Royals made three errors in the first three innings. "We made some plays that weren't so pretty," Yost said. "We threw the ball around a little bit, but that happens on occasion, but you won't see it very often with us." Happ settled down after the first, retiring the next 10 batters before Elliot Johnson led off the fifth with a bunt single. Johnson stole second and scored on Alcides Escobar's double, cutting the Blue Jays' lead to 5-4. NOTES: OF Casper Wells, who the Blue Jays claimed off waivers from the Mariners, was in uniform Friday. To make roster room for Wells, the Blue Jays optioned RHP Edgar Gonzalez to Class AAA Buffalo. ... Left-handed hitting 1B Eric Hosmer, who went 2-for-11 with one RBI in the series against the Twins, and 2B Chris Getz, who had one single in 10 at-bats in the same series, were held out of the lineup against Happ. Miguel Tejada started at first base and Johnson started at second base. ... A premier pitching matchup is on tap Saturday with National League 2012 Cy Young Award winner RHP R.A. Dickey starting for the Blue Jays, while the Royals will counter with RHP James Shields, who has a career 3.13 ERA in April and 11 career victories against Toronto. http://ppt.cc/5IOz --
