好吧 标题是我乱打的 XD 正确的标题是 "Toronto's New Focus Shows Promise" 最近在BA的一篇文章 http://tinyurl.com/2vdcgfs 里面叙述了一年来GM Alex Anthopoulos的团队到底干了什麽把这个ballclub带上正途 我尽量照原文翻 只有括弧内是我个人意见 (如下) (键盘没ㄅㄆㄇ 又不能选字真难打... 所以我尽量言简意赅!) 1. 球探及球员发展部门 整顿球探部们 加倍了球探的数量 由assistant GM Tony LaCava直接监督球员养成 Andrew Tinnish是新的球探部主任 Charlie Wilson是新的小联盟事务部主任 Doug Davis是新的小联盟协调负责人 直接向LaCava负责 连新的总教练John Farrell都有球员发展的被景 (Indians farm driector, 2001-2006) 有助於球员的发展及大小联盟转换的衔接 Tinnish及主任们去Florida发展联盟巡视後感到兴奋 对一年来的进步感到满意 因为球探数目增加 每个人的区域也就变小 有助於深入及长期观察 "The whole philosophy that Alex has was (to) make these (scouting) areas smaller" 他们并且统计近十年来成功到大联盟的球员是从哪来 发现1/4是在加州出生或是读高中 所以在加州就有5个区域球探 增加球探的效率 "The purpose was to put these guys in a better position to get to know their players. Where you might get to see a high school pitcher two or three times, now maybe you could see that guy six or seven times." 2. 选秀及国际签约 因为Marco Scutaro, Rod Barajas离去带来的draft picks, 2009 3picks没签的补偿 加上原本3个picks 让我们在前3轮选了9个人 包括在第一轮及三明治轮中有2 college (#11 Deck McGuire, Georgia Tech, #41 Asher Wojciechowski, The Citadel) and 2 high school (#34 Aaron Sanchez, Barstow High, #38 Noah Syndergaard, Legacy High)右投手 是评论选的很成功的球团 当然要选也要能签的下来 因为球团对Anthopoulos计画的信任 展现patience 并提供了充裕的$$在球员养成上 $11.6M的bonus是史上第三大的选秀总花费 总共有20位球员拿到6六位数的签约金 secure了成功的选秀 两位现任球员发展资深顾问 - Mel Queen (前MLB投手/外野手及前Jays投手教练) 及 Mel Didier (前Expos球探主任,前水手 响尾蛇球员发展部主任,前响尾蛇总经理特助) 表示从没有看过Jays在一年选秀中选这麽多优秀的投手 包括在前8 picks中有5个高中投手 一改JP不选高中投手的风气 (philosophy) Tinnish认为高中投手这块是个high risk/high reward 增加球探侦查正可以帮助找到理想的投资 (关於投手的选秀及养成 可参见John Sickels最近的一篇文章: http://tinyurl.com/2vgg3po) 在国际自由球员签约上 Anthopoulos花了10M大联盟约签下古巴SS Adeiny Hechavarria 并且补进了两个上等的委内瑞拉球员 RHP Arodis Cardon ($2.8M) 3B Gabriel Cenas ($0.7M) 3. 交易 这边大家应该比较清楚 所以我就简单说一说 Doc交易得到RHP Kyle Drabek (BA rank #1), C Travis D'Arnaud (BA rank #4) 及Wallace... Wallace季中又被换到太空人 换到CF Anthony Gose (BA rank #3) Gose防守及速度都很不错 (BA fastest baserunner, best defensive outfielder, best outfield arm) 希望是未来金手套中外野手 加开路先锋 (当初真的让人吃惊 不过Wallace在Astro打得不怎麽样 BB/SO不理想 使一些人对他的前途起疑 而且他的守位是1B 现在看起来也许球团对Wallace的考量可能是正确的... 不过John Sickels及多数人还没有放弃Wallace 加上Gose是high risk/high reward型 这个交易成败还在未定之天...) 以Brandon League及OF prospect Johermyn Chavez换来极富天赋的Brandon Morrow (10 wins in 2010 including a 17K 1-hitter against Rays, hopefully to improve on a good 2010 campaign) 从Braves换来Yunel Escobar... 使得SS这个位置变便宜变年轻 Escobar有机会变成中上的SS 最差的话顶多是在Hechavarria(或其他?)上来前的暂代 Anthopoulos提到他不反对以prospects换取即战力球员 这也是他期望将农场塞满quality prospects的目的之一... --> 需要时可以用来换球队所需的winning pieces "I'm not opposed at all to taking prospects and trading them for big-league players.... They're not all going to play up here and part of drafting and signing and developing these players is to use them to supplement the big league team. I think the depth is certainly there to make a trade, and it's something we'll look at if we think we can get a player who can be part of this (winning team)." 但是他也不是说要走JP炒短线的做法 强调任何交易都必须是划算的 并且让球队变强 "We're trying to make the organization stronger and better for the long term" 4. 球员养成 增加一只短期联盟球队 (rookie-ball Bluefield, Appalachian League, 第七只小联盟球队) 增加试验并先筛选新秀的机会 让拉美新秀可以有时间融入新生活 新的系统着重让球员可以有更多时间在球场进步 发展联盟从3周延长到5周 并设置一个春训前的prospect early camp 邀请30个球员为期两周进行个别指导 拉美部主任Marco Paddy在多明尼加设立一个训练基地 可以跟深入当地训练球员 "We're going to send a few American kids down there that were in our Florida instructional league and see how that works." 主管们一年要下去巡视三次 其他的设置有:聘请小联盟外野及跑垒教练, 心理心态教练, 眼力训练 - 球员训练就可以获得餐卷 "Players are rewarded for doing the underlying things that help win ballgames" 总结: 回锅总裁Paul Beeston表示说...从基层(farm)做起 加上关键字patience 等待欢喜收割!! "I don't know another way of doing it," Beeston said. "If you don't have the patience, if you try to get ahead of yourself, all you're going to be doing is taking that little step forward and you've got a big chance of going backward . . . If you've got that patience, which I think that Alex does, and our owners clearly do and I know I do, We've got to improve as an organization and it's the prospects that are coming up and it's the investment in those prospects that I think will pay dividends in the future." 当球员们也感受到球队向上的力量 那球队就是真的有希望 Kyle Drabek表示: "I definitely can see it with this team... We have a bunch of great young players, and things are only going to go up from here." (Giants' done it!!! Much earlier than expected... and those home-grown talents were the keys... If we keep going down this way, I am confident of the year that Jays will soar high into the sky again, higher than any bird ever flew!!! Let's be patient...) --
