牠叫蝼蛄，直翅目，中型昆虫，触角呈短丝状。上翅不大，下翅外露。有一双粗壮发达
呈齿耙状的前脚，会像地鼠一样挖洞，夜行性，晚上会受灯光吸引而飞行到有灯光处。
杂食性。
