Ethidium bromide 会堆叠在 DNA nucleotides 之间. 形成 complex.
DNA/EtBr complex 吸收 300 nm 的紫外线, 然後放出萤光 590 nm.
这就是用 EtBr 染色的原理.
很明显的, EtBr 会和 DNA 作用, 表示它有潜在造成突变的能力,
它有可能是致癌物.
