The team is led by Dr. Jyun-you Liou and supervised by Dr. Hugh Hemmings. We study how anesthetics modulate neural circuits to look for their novel applications in neuropsychiatric disorders. Our approaches include extracellular electrophysiology, in vivo fluorescence imaging, and computational modeling. This position provides a fantastic opportunity to work with brilliant scientists at Weill Cornell Medical College and Rockefeller University. During this period, the assistant will learn cutting-edge neuroscience research methods, attend international science conferences, and participate in commercializing a state-of-art microscope.
