Our studies focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiac development and disease. We utilize a multi-disciplinary approach, combining molecular, cellular, developmental, and physiological techniques to uncover no vel therapeutic targets and approaches for the prevention and treatment of car diac diseases. The UCSD Cardiovascular Medicine Division is renowned for the success in train ing young investigators, as exemplified by the excellent training records of t he faculty members. The stimulating science and collaborative atmosphere promo te close interaction among clinicians, scholars, and laboratories, and collabo rative facilities provide superb technical supports for the research fellows i n the division.
