First suffering from an ankle injury that kept him out of action when he arrived in late July, Beckham then suffered a knee sprain in the SuperLiga final against Mexican side Pachuca on Aug. 29. He is expected to miss up to six weeks with the latest injury, and the time off for rehabilitation could do him good not only for the physical ailments, Lalas said. "Once the season is over, he and all of our players need to get a physical and mental rest, and really be given the opportunity to decompress and evaluate the experience they have gone through, " Lalas said.
