做为Brainwashed开场曲 Any Road充满活力 轻快的吉他 点到为止的合声 加上反覆强调的 “And if you don't know where you're going, any road'll take you there” 引导的意味十足 不仅让我们对整张专辑充满期待 已过世的George也因此曲获得2004年葛莱美奖最佳流行男歌手提名 (但最後输给当红的Justin Timberlake) 有人说 这首歌的灵感来自爱丽丝梦游仙境里 爱丽丝和笑脸猫的对话 也有人想起1968年的Revolution 9 在吵杂背景当中 George念过以下的句子 “…so any road, he went to see the dentist instead…” 可惜随着他过世 我们永远无法知道事情的真相了 1997年George罹患喉癌 1999年他在家里被疯狂歌迷连刺十几刀 差点去和John会合 之後又患肺癌 身体愈来愈差 没想到还能缴出Brainwashed这样清新的专辑 给歌迷很大的惊喜 只能说真金不怕火炼 他单飞後的作品 证明他绝对有资格与John & Paul平起平坐 --
