The 5-foot-10 infielder was arguably the best defender at any position in this y
ear’s international group, and his glove will be his carrying tool in the early
days of his career. Cruz draws praise for both his footwork and hands at the sh
ortstop position, allowing him to get to most balls hit in his general direction
, including those that result in highlight-level plays. His arm projects to be p
lenty strong enough to be a weapon as well. The bat remains the big question. Hi
s promising hands translate fine to the box and he could be an average hitter in
time, though he doesn’t project to hit for much power.

Cruz’s glovework at a premium position gives him a higher floor than most prosp
ects who have just signed internationally. His ceiling will be determined by how
well he can develop offensively and if he can get to the point where his bat is
worth carrying in the lineup every day. Otherwise, a spot as a bench infielder
who can provide value defensively might be in his future.

As a shortstop with an extremely projectable 6-foot-3 frame, Cappe draws repeate
d physical comparisons to Carlos Correa. He has a chance to hit for power and av
erage once he's physically developed, as he already shows the ability to make ha
rd contact to all fields. He'll need to watch the length of his naturally long r
ight-handed swing but has a mature approach and understands the strike zone.
身为一名拥有 6 尺 3 寸高大身材、极具发展潜力的游击手，Cappe的体型经常被拿来与Car
los Correa相提并论，随着身体逐渐成熟，他有机会同时具备打击率与长打能力，因为目前
已展现出将球强劲击向全场的能力，当然他仍需控制天生较长的右打挥棒轨迹，但他的打击
策略相当成熟，对好球带也有不错的掌握能力
Cappe presently has solid speed but could lose some quickness as he adds muscle,
making it possible that he'll outgrow shortstop. He'll begin his pro career at
short and may be able to remain there because he has quick actions and hands as
well as a plus arm. Third base would be his fallback position and he has all the
tools to fit that profile.
Cappe目前拥有不错的速度，但随着未来增加肌肉量，敏捷性可能会有所下降，因此不排除
最终无法继续担任游击手的可能，不过在职业生涯初期，他仍将以游击手身分出发，而且凭
藉灵活的动作、优秀的接球能力以及高於平均水准的臂力，他有机会长期留在这个位置，若
未来必须转换守位，三垒将会是最合理的选择，而他也具备成为优秀三垒手所需的各项条件
