Lukasz Piszczek undergoes hip surgery: BVB defender sidelined for five months
[6.06.] Borussia Dortmund right-back Lukasz Piszczek (28) has undergone
arthroscopic surgery on his right hip on Thursday. The reason for the
procedure, which was performed by Prof. Dr. Dienst at the OCM Hospital in
Munich, was damage to the cartilage of the joint and to the femoral head.
The defensive specialist, who has made 162 appearances in the Bundesliga
(nine goals) and won 34 caps for Poland, is "set to miss five months",
according to BVB club doctor Markus Braun.
