Not because of anything but the simple facts that, as joker said, he is not a good fit for portland's players and he's lost his locker room. Sure he is the same coach that won 51 games, but besides batum and Aldridge (with some Matthews and now pryzbilla) who from this roster was on that team? Those strategies worked primarily because Brandon Roy was possibly one of the best game closers in the history of the sport (look how bad the blazers are in the 4th quarter now.) Roy compensated for the lack of a legitimate offensive game plan. I've been saying this for years, Nate McMillian has absolutely no offensive savvy as a coach. He is still running top of the key ISOs, but now for Crawford, and post ISOs for Aldridge. Without a prolific player like Roy, that strategy is garbage. Portland jumped out out to 7-2 with a breakneck pace, but the country tagged it as a fluke, not because of the skill of the players, but because of the turnover rate. Instead of embracing the turnover rate as a statistical cost of running the other team out of the gym, Nate opted to fix it, and fixing it means slow the game down. His only slow the game down offensive plan is to run ISOs with everyone else on the court just standing there. That's why he doesn't fit this roster. He doesn't mold to who he has, just what he think is best. 乡民2: I believe you are spot on BMAC. Nate has had his time to prove he can coach, albeit with some injuries and juggling of lineups through the years, but it's obvious he's not an X's and O's guy. Brandon Roy could go one-on-one and salvage wins, but everybody else was standing around. Raymond Felton needs a system, one that creates open shots with motion from everyone. So does Steve Nash. Nate isn't providing that. I would go for a couple of roster changes, but the most important change right now should be the coach. 不过尽管如此，也有很为Nate说话的乡民： Nate (Keep) no one else out there that can do anything close to him. If someone says Jeff Van Gundy, you should stop being a fan. There is a reason he is still an announcer. There is honestly no body out there that can do better than Nate. 这篇下面其实意见蛮多元的，有人批评Canzano整篇提到该留的人一堆，就是没提Camby跟 Felton。(Canzano的立场是都是球员的错，Nate是无辜的） 不过仔细扫下来，觉得Nate该走的人不在少数。 还有Paul Allen也被点名，拓荒者从成功走向失败的转折点就是在选秀会当天Fire掉KP... 然後让Larry Miller掌控了这只球队... 唉 说真的，就算Nate真的被炒了，缺少一个Truly Leader的我们，我觉得要走过季後赛 第一轮还是有很大的难度的...... 大家觉得哪些球员是绝对不能走的呢？ 我觉得只有Aldridge/Batum/Elliot Williams 顶多再算上Matthews(但他今年的表现让我也很失望） 其他人...
