Roy undergoes X-Rays Posted by Joe Freeman January 31, 2008 14:13PM Categories: Breaking News Hours before he expected to learn his All-Star fate, Brandon Roy was undergoing precautionary X-Rays on his left hand to determine the significance of severely swollen fingers. Roy, who is a contender to earn a reserve spot at next month's NBA All-Star Game, awoke Thursday morning with a badly swollen index and middle finger on his left hand, the result of damage suffered in the second half of Wednesday night's 84-83 loss to Cleveland. Blazers coach Nate McMillan said Roy, who did not practice Thursday with his teammates, was unable to clinch his left hand into a tight fist, alarming the player and the team. X-Ray results are expected later Thursday. "We looked at it this morning," McMillan said. "It's pretty puffy. I was surprised at how swollen it was."
