Roy named Player of Week

Brandon Roy has been rewarded for his recent stretch of sensational play by
earning something few Trail Blazers have in recent memory: NBA Western
Conference player of the week honors.
The reigning Rookie of the Year is just the fourth Trail Blazer to earn the
award in 12 seasons and the first since Rasheed Wallace was named the player
of the week in March of 2002. Before that, Cliff Robinson and Arvydas Sabonis
attained the honor on separate occasions in 1996.
Roy threatened to average a triple double in leading the Blazers to three
wins last week, averaging 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists. Through
it all, he shot a blistering 59.2 percent from the field, making 29 of 49
shots.

Brandon Roy上周以平均25.7分7.3篮板7.3助攻的成绩当选西区单周最佳球员，
拓荒者的球员上一次拿到这个奖要追溯到2002三月的Rasheed Wallace，
Roy也是拓荒者这12年来第4拿到这个奖项的球员。
