The test did not reveal a stress fracture, or anything wrong with the Achilles tendon, the two major concerns. It was found that Roy has an impingement in his talus bone. While this has been the cause of the nagging pain, it is not considered a long-term injury. Roy has been treated with a cortizone shot, and will have special orthodics made for his shoes. He has been ruled out of Wednedsay's game with the Lakers, but will most likely return Friday, when the Blazers host the New Orleans / Oklahoma City Hornets. The orthodic will be made, and tested, on Thursday. A number of NBA players wear specially-made inserts in their shoes to treat problems like this. Continuing with the good news, LaMarcus Aldridge participated in his first full practice on Tuesday, and looked very good. It's been stated that he could see action as early as Sunday against Dallas. That could be a bit optimistic, but he will most certainly play on the upcoming 4-game road trip that begins at Minnesota a week from Wednesday.
