From: Blazers.com Blazers Sign Kaniel Dickens December 19, 2003 The Portland Trail Blazers have signed Forward Kaniel Dickens. The 6-foot-8 Dickens was in the Blazers Training Camp this fall. He appeared in one pre-season game with Portland, grabbing one rebound in three minutes of action, before being placed on waivers on October 12th. Dickens will replace F Travis Outlaw on the Blazers active roster. Outlaw has been placed on the Injured List with Bilateral Patellar Tendonitis. In 14 games with the Continental Basketball Association’s Dakota Wizards this season, Dickens averaged 19.8 ppg, 6.6 rpg and 2.3 apg. He ranked seventh in the CBA in scoring and fourth in three-point field goal percentage, shooting 47.4% (27-of-57). The University of Idaho alum was named the CBA Player of the Week for the week of November 23-29, when he averaged 28.5 ppg, 8.0 rpg and 4.5 apg.
