I knew he would be ignored by the fair-weather fans and the press, but I didn't expect him to completely drop off the face of the earth. I would assume they'll shoot for the high $80 millions, which is plenty to be a contender. So rather than look at is as they'll have $30 million to play with, it's best to think in terms of having $10 or $12 million. The Astros aren't either, obviously, or they would have made the switch by now. The Astros are using the red jersey more than the gray mainly because of comfort. Wilson's struggles weren't Gary Gaetti's fault, and if Wilson continues to struggle, you can't pin it on Sean Berry, either. Coaches are there to help, advise, watch tape, detect flaws, make suggestions. It's up to the player to listen and make it work. I repeat -- the player first has to be willing to listen to the coach. Morgan Ensberg was one of them. Garner is doing a fine job, and you don't guide a team to two straight playoff appearances and then turn into an idiot overnight.
