Houston Astros shortstop Adam Everett will miss
four to six weeks after
breaking a bone in his left wrist in Friday night's 4-0 victory over the
Montreal Expos.
Everett was injured when he was hit with a pitch by Claudio Vargas in the
fourth inning. X-rays revealed a fracture to the ulna.
Everett, who will be placed on the 15-day disabled list, may undergo
season-ending surgery. He is batting .273 with eight homers and 31 RBI this
season.
