Baltimore put the problematic righthander on waivers, claiming his multiple brushes with the law violated the standard morals clause in his contract. The Yanks also have no interest in promoting Hideo Nomo from Triple-A Columbus. One pitcher they do want is Chien-Ming Wang, who allowed three runs and 11 hits in five innings in Columbus last night.
