The 29-year-old captained an Arsenal side comprising mostly Reserves plus Denilson and Alex Song. Nacer Barazite gave the home team the lead in the 35th minute. Viet Anit replied for the visitors five minutes before the break. Lauren showed no ill effects when he was substituted 10 minutes after the restart. Three minutes later Rhys Murphy restored Arsenal’s lead.
