But when Wenger first met the players he was shocked by their eating habits. 第一天温格会见球员时,他非常讶异他们的饮食习惯.. He said: "I banned those chocolate bars the players were stuffing themselves with. "On the bus to Blackburn (for Wenger's first game in charge), the players were chanting 'We want our chocolate bars'. 在温格第一场执教比赛前(对课本)的球队巴士上, 球员们高声唱着「我们要我们的巧克力棒～」以强烈表示对命令的不满.. Wenger also revealed how his team reacted to his first team talk. He added: "At halftime, they expected me to yell like a madman and I didn't say a thing. 教授也回忆起第一场比赛的中场训话时刻, 球员们已经习惯以前的教练在更衣室里大声斥责, 非常惊讶教授当天竟然没说一句话.. "They were used to being shouted at." 「他们已经太习惯被咆哮了」 Despite living in England for so long, the Arsenal manager said he still sees himself as a Frenchman. 温格还提到虽然已经住在伦敦这麽多个年头, 他仍然视自己是一个法国人, "I'm French. I have not become an Englishman. 「我的生活方式还是像个法国人,我还没有变成像一个英国人」 "I have the impression of living on an island called Arsenal. 「我就像住在一个叫做『阿森纳』的岛上一样,」 "If you fancy a sightseeing tour of London, don't ask me.
