"Yes I was very pleased. I was a bit disappointed in the first half going in two-nil down after I felt that we really played some good football. We lacked a little bit of punch in the attacking third but I said to them 'don't worry about the mistakes just keep believing in what we're going to do' and in the second half we had a little bit more urgency up front. Once or twice we went a little bit longer [with our passes] and it gave them a little bit of a problem. But, overall, there was a great spirit, a lot of young players, and again I am really, really pleased." on the fightback... "Every game between Arsenal and Tottenham, even at under-nines, is competitive and I think that it adds an edge to it. It's played in the right spirit with [Spurs coach] Clive [Allen] and we've got a good relationship with them. We compete and it's tough out there but, to come back from two-nil down, I think we've done really well." on whether Arsenal have ever fielded a younger reserve side... "I don't think we have but I think you've seen tonight they can compete with that. To be fair to Tottenham I think they were a couple of years older than us all over the pitch. But I don't think we have [fielded a younger side], no." on the half-time team-talk... "I just said to keep believing in what we're doing as I thought the football was good. We made a couple of individual errors but I told them to keep passing the ball and keep believing in what we're doing. I asked them to maybe look a bit longer at times to mix it up and show a bit more urgency and a bit more government around the box." on pushing Jay Simpson up front... "Well, I felt Jay would give us more physical presence. We've got young Nacer [Barazite] and Vincent [Van den Berg] who've both come from Holland and it's a bit new to them both so to give them a little more room and change them around I put Jay down the middle." on the Dutch duo... "Their qualities are that they're technically very good players and they've got fantastic attitude. I think you'll see them develop over the next few years - the big thing is their football intelligence and their technique." on Fran Merida's contributions... "Fran's a smashing player. He's come in, he's settled in, he's one of the lads and I can't speak highly enough of him. He's got a fantastic attitude, and he's a really good footballer. He's only 16, and he's got that spirit that we like." --
