The 18-year-old, who joined from Sao Paulo for an initial ￡1.9 million on transfer deadline day, has captained the Brazilian national team at Under-17 and Under-19 level and will now be looking to make a positive impression at The Emirates Stadium. Denilson played just 12 times for his previous employers and has a low profile, with his arrival in North London receiving little coverage on a day when the tortuous Ashley Cole saga ended with him swapping clubs with William Gallas in a controversial move. As such Gilberto is one of those who admits Denilson is something of an unknown quantity as he arrives to claim the number 15 shirt at The Emirates Stadium. However The Gunners' vice-captain says Wenger's impressive track record with spotting young talent such as Nicolas Anelka, Kolo Toure and Cesc Fabregas means the new boy must be a good player. "To be honest I don't know him, I have heard about him, but I don't know him that much," Gilberto told skysports.com. "If he is joining Arsenal it is because he is a good player.
