In the France v Italy final I remembered watching Thuram and thinking of what he legend he was and how amazing that Arsenal had got past Cannavaro and Thuram at Highbury. However, Thuram had not had a great season but he looked good in the World Cup. I realised then that Gallas was contributing a whole lot to making Thuram and the French defence look good. In fact, watch John Terry with other partners in Chelsea and at the World Cup, you realise just what a player Gallas is. Also with Gallas, it is not as bad for Senderos as it seems because Toure and Gallas will not play an injury free season after the World Cup and Champions League and almost two seasons without injury. The loser is Djourou but he's only 19 and the Carling Cup team will be strong enough to give him many games. I was making noises about Bendtner here in 2005. I recommend that you watch the next Birmingham match to check him out yourself. The future is Walcott and Bendtner. With these two, Denilson, Clichy, Flamini, Kerrea Gilbert, Muamba, Larsson, Lupoli, Vela, Djourou, Hoyte, Clichy and then Senderos, Fabregas and van Persie, Arsenal have the next 5 years all sorted out.
