From watching these old games, I found some really interesting things. First, we are going to miss Pires. When Pires is playing well he has enormous possession capabilities and he has an eye for a good pass. I also found that Pires is the only person Henry had an understanding with. Flamini actually has fantastic basic skills. He rarely loses the ball because of ball control deficiency and he is incredibly athletic. Flamini's attitude more than anything else allowed him to cope at left-back. It wasn't anything that he learned, it was simply that he did not fear the situation.His recovery is incredible. Flamini came across some of Europe's and the Premiership's best defenders and dealt with them using recovery rather than defensive skills. Lauren is also one of few Arsenal players who has real grit and is arguably the most experienced player at Arsenal besides Lehmann and Gilberto. It also turns out that Fabregas and Reyes make far more runs forward off the ball than anyone else including Henry. Reyes wins a lot of free kicks. Most free kicks in Henry's shooting range are won by Reyes. Reyes is also the one Arsenal player that tends to dive. One interesting mystery is that nobody ever finds Reyes when he makes runs. We have often accused Henry of not passing to Reyes but looking at these games and others show that for some reason nobody can seem to pick Reyes out even when they try to make the pass. Fabregas, Hleb and Pires look to find Reyes just as often as they do Henry but it rarely gets through in a decisive situation. I have never noted him to give up when things are going badly and I believe that if his team mates show trust and belief in him, he will reward us all twice over. There were only a few games where the team had a cohesive spirit. Arsenal also rely on football a lot. We love that about our team but when football fails, the painful process of getting it back again is not built in this team. In the Double-winning teams, there were enough players with guts and balls to ride the rough moments long enough for the team to find its rhythm again. This team is still struggling to find its leaders. Toure and Lehmann are too far back. If all these leaders can find their voice in Ashburton Grove then Arsenal's first team should be good enough for anyone. Remember the star defenders in the World Cup – Cannavaro, Thuram, Zambrotta? The star keeper Buffon? The star midfielders Vieira and Camaronessi? I would have loved Torres at Arsenal but I have to agree with Wenger that we have enough forwards. I really like him and I would like to see him play instead of going on loan. I think he is a very different striker to anything that Wenger has ever had. Bendtner是温格拥有的前锋里最不同类型的一个,希望他有更多机会上场,而不是租借出去.
