But the Dubliner has had help from high places. Speaking exclusively to Arsenal.com, Stokes outlined his immediate ambitions at the Club and spoke glowingly of the influence Arsenal’s more senior players have had on his own development. “For the next six months I just want to do as well as I can in the reserves, ” began the 17-year-old. “From there I have no control. Every week I want to be as consistent as possible. Hopefully next year in the Carling Cup I’ll get one or two more appearances. “I've trained with the first team on a good few occasions,” he continued. “It's a great experience. It's not so much that they give you tips but you pick things up from their game. “If you're watching the world’s elite players, you will see what they're doing and it's just amazing to be training with them - just to learn from them. From his displays so far this term, it seems Stokes has been watching studiously. Stokes其实上季在预备队当前锋就有几次不错的表现，不过後来大概Lupoli+Bendtner 的组合一直进球，所以他在Banfield之下开始试着打不同的攻击位置，现在他打CM 的表现挺抢眼的，记得最近他代表爱尔兰青年队（U18?）打一场友谊赛时很出色， 结果，你猜？该队教练劝Stokes说他很有天赋，该考虑离开枪手另谋出路....-.- 其实为自己打算是难免，但是既然在Colney环境这麽好，就多享受几年的足球教育吧， 才十七岁别想这麽多。他脚法还蛮细腻的，动作也轻巧，多跟一队学学吧。 --
