Jered Weaver has a fractured left elbow and is expected to be sidelined for a month, maybe longer. The Angels announced the news on Tuesday morning, two days after Weaver suffered the injury while avoiding a comebacker during a game at Rangers Ballpark. It feels like when you jam a thumb, but it's in the elbow." Follow-up tests in Southern California on Monday revealed that the injury was more serious. Weaver has finished in the top five in American League Cy Young Award voting each of the past three years.
