Kelvim Escobar, who is recovering from shoulder surgery, is expected to throw around 60 pitches this week to gear up for a rehab start wit
h Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
Our View: Skipper Mike Scioscia noted that Escobar feels great and his reha
b has been going very well. Barring a setback, Escobar could be back in the
Angels' rotation by May 1, and is worth stashing if dangling on the waiver
wire.
