We all have a pretty good feeling that Albert is the best player in the game
today, and while no one can fault him for failing to acknowledge that fact,
is Bonds even the second-best player? I looked at a few key stats -- VORP
(Value Over Replacement Player), (Win Shares), RC27 (Runs Created per 27 Outs)
and EQA (Equivalent Average) to score some of today's best players in a
rotisserie-style ranking system:
