In this world, nothing is constant but death, taxes and Albert Pujols.
Check these five-year averages: .332 average, 40 homers, 124 RBIs, 126 runs
and 158 games played. Alex Rodriguez aficionados will point out that the
Yankees' current third baseman steals more bases, but Pujols finished with a
solid 16 swipes last year -- only five fewer than A-Rod. If you go with Pujols
you're getting the reigning NL MVP,the best overall hitter in baseball and
someone who virtually never sits out. Credentials like that earn him the top
ranking at his position, and make him a strong candidate for the first overall
pick in virtually any draft.
