标题[电访] Oxford physics phone interview

phone interview 时间: 2009/01/15 20:30 (Taiwan)
我申请的是 Oxford Physics 里面的 Atomic and Laser Physics group，面试的是 Ian
Walmsley 教授。第一次打到我手机收讯不好，请教授改打家里电话，结果还是一样，
声音一直很小声。(因此很多问题都重复问了好几次)
1. 为什麽对 Dphil 有兴趣? 为什麽选择量子资讯?
2. 你的研究经验如何? 你如何研究 Kuramoto model? 你的贡献是什麽?
3. 你对量子物理，电动力学，以及光学的了解到哪里? 你怎麽理解它们?
4. 你到荷兰 Utrecht Summer School 上什麽? 你学到什麽?
5. 你有哪些实验物理的经验?
6. 你知道雷射的原理吗? (地狱的开始) 我们考虑一个原子在一个腔体里面，如果有
emission 的话会怎样呢? 如果一个原子放在一道光束下，他会有什麽行为呢?
光子射出来的路径是什麽呢? 除了 stimulated 之外还有哪种呢? spontaneous
需要光吗? 这之间还有提到 population inversion 和 cavity 的一些细节问题。
7. 非古典光学你知道多少? 跟雷射的关系是什麽?
8. 你觉得 Kuramoto model 和你之後想要做的东西有什麽关联?
